We will start with Peter King. It is no secret our dislike for King here at WhoDeyFans, but he had some good things to say again about the Bengals. He liked Odom, the man on pace for 56 sacks this season, and Benson in his Monday Morning Qb article.
Perloff thinks the Bengals just exposed the Packers as being overrated. This may be true, but they were rated by you, the media. That would make the Bears also overrated and maybe the Steelers? It is the NFL, the teams are for the most part all closely matched and execution dictates who wins the game every week. Maybe someday you guys will figure that out. If it was up to the sports writers, the season would all be played on paper and champions would be crowned without a game being played.
The Sporting News is not sold. They think the Bengals were saved by the penalty at the end of the game. Never mind that the Bengals completely outplayed the Packers all day and the Pack were gift wrapped a TD and great field position.
Cincinnati.com has a good article with quotes from the players. Odom shined on Sunday but the rest of the D deserves just as much credit. A good defense I am excited to see this Sunday take on the Steelers.
