Long time Bengals long snapper Brad St. Louis is gone after a terrible season where he is responsible for taking at least 11 points off the board. He has been replaced by the younger 2007, 7th round pick by the Packers, Clark Harris. You can read about it here.
St. Louis has been absolutely awful this year. It was more rare to see a good snap than a bad one and when you are winning games by 3 points, it is necessary to be able to rely on your kicking game. Special teams coach Darrin Simmons said, "It's nothing you ever want to do to a guy you've worked with for seven years. Brad is a guy we all admire, but we have to put this fire out." St. louis is a long time Bengal and now that he's gone, Chad Ochocinco is the longest tenured player on the team.
It's always sad to see a veteran go, but football is the ultimate team sport and if one guy can't do his job, it effects the whole team. The defense looks great, the offense is getting better and better each week, and hopefully Harris can help make the special teams better to make this Bengals team the complete package.
