Behind Enemy Lines - Raiders

by Number 1 fan 18. November 2009 22:12

This week the Bengals make the cross country trek to take on the Oakland Raiders.  I decided to shoot our 5 questions over to Chris at JustBlogBaby.com and he was kind enough to answer.

What Scares You About the Bengals?

The ground game. Is Benson going to play? Does it really matter? Stephen Hawking could run on the Raiders. Plus, Larry   Johnson is a notorious Raider killer and his arrival couldn't have come at a worse time.

What Match-Up Makes You Feel Confident in the Raiders?

Nnamdi Asomugha vs. anybody. I don't think people understand how good this guy is. Before last Sunday, Nnamdi had only been thrown at 11 times all year. Considering he plays almost exclusive bump and run coverage makes him even more remarkable. It's like Rosie O'Donnell is doing nude jumping jacks on whatever side of the field he's on cause QBs just don't look his way.

Best Current Raiders Player most Bengal Fans have Never Heard Of?

Wide receiver Chaz Schilens is the guy to keep an eye on. He was a 7th round choice a year ago and found his way into the starting lineup by season's end. He suffered a broken foot in camp so last week was his first action. Schilens is a tall 6'4", runs a 4.3 in the 40, attacks the ball in the air and runs crisp routes. He was the only guy capable of catching any ball from JaMarcus Russell no matter how much it looked like a water balloon in flight.

Who Wins the Game and What's the Score?

This is a classic trap game for Cincy. If they don't get cocky it could be a 24-10 victory. If Lewis doesn't have his boys ready to play, like Andy Reid pulled a few weeks ago in Oakland, it could be an ugly 13-10 Raider victory. The key is jumping out early. Oakland is not built to come from behind.

If there was a steel cage match instead of a football game featuring one current player, who do you nominate?

Michael Mitchell. He was the talk of the draft after the Raiders grabbed him in the second round when nobody had him on their radar. He's a safety who is only a situational play thus far but whenever he gets a chance he lays the wood. He put a nasty hit on Brandon Jacobs that knocked the big guy back five yards on the goal line. Mitchell is the type who would be rushing his opponent before the ref has even started the fight. Straight killer.

That has got to be one of the worst pictures of a Wildebeest that I've ever seen.
