The Bengals placed 17 players on waivers today to get down to the 53 man roster. However, because of the roster exemption for first round pick Andre Smith the Bengals will have to make one more cut in the next two weeks to get to 53.

There are some surprises here. I thought FB Chris Pressley was going to make this team. The guy looked for the hit and kind of reminded me of a young Lorenzo Neal. I know that Jeremi Johnson can be a good full back and has been successful with Cincinnati, but I am tired of him coming into camp every year out of shape. I think it sets him and the team back.

I was pulling for Corey Lynch also. From the clips we get to see from Hard Knocks though, it looked like Tom Nelson was just out playing him.

I thought about posting a current depth chart, but I have a feeling the Bengals may be active on the waiver wire. An offensive lineman or tight end would not surprise me.
