Cincinnati Bengals Hard Knocks Gut Reaction
Wednesday, August 19, 2009
This was a pretty uneventful episode.
I learned that Carson Palmer likes to smell the under carriage of his center. I learned that Carson also is a Gatorade snob. I learned Chad Ochocinco does not understand how a bank works. I learned that even rich athletes struggle putting together their children's furniture.
I learned that I have very little confidence in the offensive coaching staff. Bob Bratkowski is visually reinforcing every thought I have had about him. I don't understand Mike Browns man crush on certain players. I also don't understand the negotiating skills of his daughter Katie. I have had similar phone calls to that when I was in 7th grade calling a girl for the first time. I am sure the HBO cameras clicked off right before we heard several rounds of:
"You hang up"
"no, You hang up.
I learned that the crack medical staff of the Cincinnati Bengals makes me very nervous. Was it me or were the doctors/trainers trying to convince Carson his injury was worse than it was?
I cringe every time the coaches and owner get together for meetings. I envision the laughter of NFL fans across the country seeing what Bengal fans have seen over the past 19 years. I hope the Bengals play a great game at New England tomorrow to get my mind off of the dismal episode I just watched.
WhoDey
