I remember from the season of Hard Knocks I watched when the Kansas City Chiefs were the featured team that the toughest part to watch is when a player gets cut. The director of player personnel would send someone to get the player and would ask that they bring their playbook. They would explain the situation and tell the guy he is going to be all right.

The Cincinnati Bengals send someone an hour and 15 minutes BEFORE wake up call (aka 5:30 in the morning) to knock on the door, wake the player up and tell them there is a van that is going to take them to the airport. Get to steppin'. The scariest part is the freakin outfit Lipincott wears the whole episode. I mean you focus on players coming into camp in shape but obviously this guy is not looking at a scale.

I was surprised after watching the episode that Runnels was cut so quickly. It seemed he was holding his own. Jeremi Johnson seems to be the only guy who can actually get fatter during the two a days at training camp. From that episode I will be surprised if he makes the team.

Lastly, seeing a guy like Reggie Kelley's reaction to learning that his season was over shows how real it is for these guys. He will be on IR, he will get paid, but he teared up when he learned he was out for 6 months. Gained some respect from us here at WhoDeyFans for that.

All in all, great show, little more insight to our favorite football team.
